Insight has booked another show for this coming Wednesday, December 5th. They will be playing along with Solar Trance and Faded Sunrise at a club called Off Broadway. Tickets are only five dollars and the show will kick off around 8:00.

After a one year hiatus spent writing new material with a new guitarist, Insight has finally returned to the stage. Insight recently played two shows at Pops in Sauget and one at the Hi-Pointe which served as a great prelude for the impact Insight will have on the music scene. As far as upcoming shows, Insight will be headlining at the Galaxy on Wednesday, October 24. They will also be opening for Colony at the recently resurrected Side Door on Friday, November 2. You can also see them headlining at the Hi-Pointe on Saturday, November 3. All shows are all ages and will allow a great opportunity to see what's new about Insight.

Insight is currently preparing to hit the studios for their first, full length CD. They have the material written and are just beginning the process of recording the tracks for the album. The tentative release date for this project is June of 2001.

Insight and Scott Dippel have parted ways after nearly three years together. Fortunately, they have found a great new guitarist from California, Julie Hays, to fill the void. She will bring a new edge to the band and certainly facilitate the evolution of their very unique sound.

Insight will be headlining a show at Mississippi Nights on July 29th. Times and Ticket information are currently unavailable but will be relayed as soon as they are determined. This is a great chance to come check out all of the new material on their upcoming CD.

After a successful release of the "Multitrax 2" CD, Insight has lined up another show at the Firehouse. Scheduled for Friday July 14th, it will begin at 9:30 and will feature other local bands Mindshaft and Somnia. Tickets are only 5 dollars but you must be over 18 to enjoy the show.

Just one week after their show at the Side Door Insight will be participating in a huge show at Mississippi Nights. The show is to release the Multitrax 2 CD which contains 21 songs from SGM artists and others. The CD will feature Insight, Slapdash, Johnnyactionfigure and the very last studio recording of New World Spirits. The doors open at 7:00 and the show starts at 7:30. Tickets are 8 dollars in advance and 10 at the door and all attending the show will receive the Multitrax 2 CD absolutely free of charge. The show itself will have 6 bands and will illustrate the absolute best that SGM has to offer.

Friday, June 9th Insight will be playing another show at the Side Door for fans of all ages. The doors open at 8:00 and the show itself will kick off at 9:00. Opening bands at this point are still undetermined but it guarantees to be a great show. Tickets will be either 4 or 6 dollars depending on your age.

Insight has booked two more shows in the next few weeks before they plan to take some time off to finish recording their new album. Saturday, April 22nd, they will be performing at the Hi-Pointe. They are expected to take the stage around 10:00. They have also booked another show at the Hi-Pointe on Tuesday, May 9th. Times and opening acts for this show are yet to be determined.

First and foremost, Insight wants to thank everyone who attended the two amazing shows last Saturday (at the Galaxy) and Sunday (at the Oz). Your continued support is greatly appreciated. Insight has booked another show for this Friday (March 24th) at the three-1-three club. The show has a late start at 10:00 and Insight will more than likely not take the stage until around midnight. Your attendance is encouraged as it looks to be a tremendous show.

After a five year relationship, Chris Kelly has parted ways with Insight and left the band. His departure comes just a few weeks before Insight's next show at Pops. At this time, there is no word as to Kelly's future plans,if any, within the music industry. Insight plans to continue playing as a quartet and remains optimistic about a summer release date for their next CD

After taking a month or so off to record, Insight has once again hit the club scene. They have booked three upcoming shows at local clubs within the next two months. The next show will be on Monday, February 28th at Pops over in Illinois. The show will be part of 104.1 Extreme Radio's Monday Night Metal and may even be broadcast over the airwaves. Details will be posted as they are available. Insight has also arranged a show at the Galaxy for March 18th. On March 24th, Insight will be playing the three-1-three club in Illinois. Times for all of the shows as well as opening bands will be posted as the information becomes available.

Insight has announced plans to release another CD during the summer of the year 2000. Recording has already commenced for the album which will feature among other songs, "Fly", "Friend", and their unique version of the Doors' "People are Strange."


12-5-99

On very short notice, Insight was able to arrange and perform a magnificent show at the OZ in Sauget as part of 105.7 The Point's Local Show. The show was aired live on the radio Sunday between 11 and 12 am. Along with that successful performance, Insight has also lined up another show this Saturday (December 11th) at the Galaxy along with The Land of the EL Caminos, Core and two other bands. It looks to be a tremendous night of music with Insight taking center stage.

Coming off of a great make-up show at the Hi-Pointe, Insight is set for what they are saying will be their greatest show yet. It will take place Friday, November 12th at the Galaxy. Insight will be headlining the event and opening acts as of this time have not been finalized. If you have not seen them in awhile, this show will definitely be worth checking out.

Unfortunately the Hi-Pointe had to cancel the show on the 14th due to an error on their part. Insight apologizes for any inconvenience this change might have caused. The show will probably be rescheduled for sometime in late October.

On September 14th (Tuesday), Insight will be playing at the Hi-Pointe with Johnny Action Figure. As always, times are sketchy and probably will not be finalized until the night before the show. They would love to see you there.


8-7-99

Triple Clamp has been added as a third band to the big CD release party show at the Firehouse. The show, scheduled for August 13th, already features Croft as one opening act and Triple Clamp will be the second opening act. Insight will be headlining the event.


8-2-99

Insight has landed another show, this one at the Firehouse. They have announced that this concert, scheduled for the thirteenth of August will be their official CD release party as they are headlining the event. Another local band, Croft, will be opening up the show. Times will be posted as soon as they are available.


7-9-99

During a very successful show at the Three-1-Three Club last night, Insight made the official announcement. Their upcoming show on the 24th at Mississippi Nights will indeed be their CD release party. Not only will your attendance guarantee a great show, but you can also pick up a copy of the music.

Insight has landed their biggest show to date at the biggest club in St. Louis. July 24th is the date when Insight will take the stage of Mississippi Nights downtown. At this time, the exact starting time of the show is unknown but those details will be worked out shortly. If directions are needed send those concerns here. This will be the biggest show yet and any support is greatly appreciated.

After the success of their initial show, Insight has been asked to play another show at the Three-1-Three club. This show is set to take place on Thursday, July 8th. It will start later in the evening around nine o'clock or a little after. As of this time it is uncertain who they will be opening for. In the last two weeks, Insight played two shows, one at the Red Sea and the second at the Three-1-Three club in Belleville, Ill. They both were exceptional shows and the band wishes to thank everyone who attended as well as Neem and Big Daddy Jr, the respective bands that they opened for. Currently, there are no other shows booked, but that is sure to change and all of the latest news will be posted here. The EP is tentatively scheduled to be released sometime during the month of June.

Insight has booked two new shows for themselves and hope that all of their fans will come out and support them. The first is Thurday, May 13th at the Red Sea. The band takes the stage around eight in the evening and is psyched for an incredible show. The next show will be May 20th at the 313 Club in Belleville, Illinois. The band takes the stage kind of late that night, starting their set at 10:00 in the evening. If directions are needed to either of these shows, just email me and directions will be sent to you. Congratulations are definitely in order as Insight beat out five other bands to win first place at Meramec college last Friday. The official results are still unknown but if crowd support is a factor, then more than likely they won the event running away. The four other bands which played were Impact, C.P.B., The Dean Evans Band, and the Rock. Insight had a grea show, debuting two brand new songs, "Fly" and "Friend". In addition, five lucky fans took home a copy of their EP which has yet to be officially released. The next few weeks will be spent recording the master versions in the studio and finishing the artwork for the inside of the EP case. Pictures from the show should be posted within a week or so.

Insight is scheduled to play this Friday night at Meramec college in their annual Battle of the Bands. All are welcome and admission is only three dollars. This is their third year competing and they are anxious and anticipating a tremendous show.

The band has officially made plans to release their first EP, currently untitled, by the end of June '99.
