Gary
Bats: Left
Throws: Right
Gary has shown tremendous improvement since his first
game. After establishing himself as primarily a contact hitter,
he has recently shown the ability to hit the ball out of the park
for a homerun. As the only left handed hitter, he often takes
advantage of the close foul marker by ripping extra base hits just inside
the line. He likes the ball over the plate or inside as
he has shown difficulty in catching up to pitches high and outside. He'll
swing at the low ball and connect about 50% of the time: but those hits are usually blasts which
go for doubles or homeruns. Pitchers have to be careful not to throw too inside
as Gary has the ability to turn on the ball to yank it just down the foul line.
Defensively, Gary has improved greatly and now exhibits a tremendous
range as well as an innate ability to take away homeruns. As a pitcher,
he has recently shown the ability to throw hard and has even
experimented with an impressive breaking ball. If he masters
his control, he could become a dominant force in the league.
