Matt may very well be the best all around player in the TWL. His defense is better than average as he has been known to rob people of homeruns and extra base hits. He has perfected the art of the behind the back catch which often leaves hitters frustrated and leaves runners stranded on base. Offensively, he remains above average in all categories, even showing tremendous power for his size in hitting many balls out of the park. He tends to hit the ball best if it is low and over the plate and struggles on pitches up by his eyes. Often a real low pitch will entice Matt enough to take a giant swing and miss to give the pitcher the advantage. The most dominant aspect of his game is by far his pitching. His arsenal of pitches can fool any batter which is the reason most would rather not face him. Pitches ranging from a riser, a cutting breakingball, and an exceptional pure fastball have established him as one of the dominant pitchers in the game. He mixes those with an engaging offspeed pitch and the batters are often left bewildered.
